t’s rare to find someone still playing trombone in a standard jazz quartet however Teesside born Andrew Kerensky has been the resident jazz band at the Purple Onion in Middlesbrough for the last 4 years and has played at numerous weddings, balls, restaurants and corporate events such as- The Tall Trees, Solberge Hall, The Thistle Hotel Middlesbrough, The Waiting Room (Yarm) and various other places. His main trombone influences are J J Johnson and Jack Teagarden but is also very drawn to the gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt.
